The Killara Project

I drew on the influences of Impressionism to create this beautiful garden.

An understated side entrance to this gorgeous Federation house meant a move away from structured symmetry. On a subtle underlying structure of a relaxed, discreet cross axis, a play of light, quiet shadows and a hint of water travel with the visitor as they make there way from the road to the entrance.

The often overlooked pastels of the mighty Sydney Bluegum are harmonized with a delicate play of light, colour and texture from the Weeping cherry, Smaragd conifers, Austromyrtus ‘Blushing Beauty’, ‘Lord Roberts’ Heliotrope, Buxus, Marguerite daisies, Gardenias and Autumn crocus.
